The more precisely advertisers could define their audience, the greater the likelihood of reaching potential customers with the right message at the right time.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping that approach. Platforms such as Meta’s Advantage+ and Google’s Performance Max increasingly use AI to determine who sees an advertisement, when it appears, and which users are most likely to engage or convert. Rather than requiring marketers to manually build countless audience segments, these platforms continuously analyze real-time signals, user behavior, contextual information, campaign objectives, and conversion data to optimize campaign delivery automatically.

As AI assumes greater responsibility for audience discovery and campaign delivery, the role of creative has become more important than ever. Headlines, visuals, videos, messaging, and storytelling are no longer simply the final assets of a campaign. They have become one of the primary inputs influencing AI-driven optimization.
