LinkedIn’s new Creator Marketplace is more than a creator-economy play. It reflects a growing belief that in an AI-driven information landscape, the ability to validate expertise and credibility will increasingly determine who influences buying decisions.

LinkedIn is not simply investing in creators. It is positioning itself as a platform where expertise can be discovered, assessed, and commercialized.

At a time when AI can generate endless content, professional knowledge, lived experience, and subject-matter expertise are becoming more valuable differentiators. Yet AI is also making expertise easier to imitate. The challenge is no longer finding experts. It is determining which experts deserve trust.
