One of the month’s most significant developments came from new research by WARC and PHD, which projects that AI agents could facilitate US$3.35 trillion in global consumer spending by 2030, representing approximately 3.8% of worldwide consumer expenditure.

The report suggests that AI is evolving beyond information retrieval towards supporting purchasing decisions. Rather than simply answering questions, AI agents are expected to compare products, evaluate services, and increasingly assist consumers throughout the buying journey.
