AI in marketing is increasingly infrastructure-like. It relies on cloud hyperscale, proprietary foundation models, closed ecosystems, and opaque optimization logic.

This shift matters because infrastructure shapes behavior. When AI systems determine which audiences are reachable, which creative variants are prioritized, and which insights surface to decision-makers, marketers are no longer simply “using” AI. They are operating inside systems whose rules they do not fully control.
