In a bold move set to reshape Japan’s digital content creation landscape, Tencent Cloud and Offshore Company, a subsidiary of Asia’s top-ranking PR agency, Vector Group, have announced the launch of AvaMo. This is Japan’s first AI-powered avatar video generation service tailored specifically for Japanese users. It revolutionizes AI avatar video generation in the country.

A new chapter in AI-powered creativity

This collaboration introduces an innovation poised to revolutionize the country’s video advertising, customer service, and educational content sectors. Powered by Tencent Cloud’s advanced AI digital human technology, AvaMo offers a fast, cost-effective, and culturally attuned solution. Developed by an Offshore Company, it caters to professional-grade video production. Importantly, it embraces the potential of AI video generation in Japan.

The global market for AI video generation is booming, expected to grow from $4.1 billion in 2024 to $62.8 billion by 2034, at a CAGR of over 31%. Yet in Japan, the integration of AI in commercial video production remains nascent. Global services like Synthesia and HeyGen have made international progress. However, Japan has lacked tools that support native language and culturally relevant avatars. Furthermore, intuitive user interfaces built for local needs have also been missing. This highlights a need for AI avatar video generation tailored for Japan.

AvaMo fills this critical gap. Its name, a portmanteau of “Avatar” and “Motion/Movie,” reflects its ability to produce lifelike video avatars. These avatars come with natural expression, fluent intonation, and context-sensitive gestures tailored to Japanese communication styles.
